Omg. Im going to shoot the next person that asks me if im goth. No, im not goth, im a music freak that happens to dress differently then anyone i know. But i know there are people who seem to dress like me. Sheesh. Im not a depressed cutter who thinks the only thing worth living is for pain. Im not someone who braggs about who i am. Im not in it for the style. im not in it for the drugs. Im jsut. Me. And well, im a music freak that likes my own shit, and if people call me fake because i dont know A band that they know. Then omg, condem me.

    I listen to bands like:

    Epica
    Nightwish
    Lacuna Coil
    After forever
    Nine inch nails
    Maryilin manson

Apparently, this makes me a 'goth' when i go around wearing blue jeans, black shirt and despise piercings etc. (apart from ear stretchers, love the buggers)

    *Shrug*

You're all trend wannabes and it's pathetic.

i dont like labels...not at all....often times they end up permanent and prevent people from being themselves and i think its really messed up. just because i wear black and i like bands like Cradle of Filth, A Perfect Circle, Kittie, Marilyn Manson, Tool, and Norma Jean etc, people tend to shut me out as soon as theyre done labeling with no thinking invovled. its like an assembly line for them, 'do you wear black? okay, can i get a goth label over here!?! next!' basically labels suck in most cases....i understand trying to find people with the same mindset, but even with 'goths', thats still shutting people with a different label out and generally its not fair...

It just cracks me up that you can try to call yourself 'gothic' based upon bands like Linkin park.

Don't get me wrong, i'm not trying to be insulting or anything - but i just find the whole sterotyping and association children put on music taste, hair length, general attitudes humoursly pathetic.

Most of my friends would claim to be 'gothic' so i wouldn't take me to harshly to try to bend me :p

I would say that Gothic was a word really that is used to describe anyone in life who doesnt conform to the regular. I like rock music but nobody calls me a goth, because in our region you have to wear black, and paint your nails to be a goth. I personally feel that everyone is who they are and you like that or you dont
