Wow...I never thought of that. That's a very interesting point of view. What does the snake represent? Also, why would sex be the forbidden fruit if it is the way to reproduce? Surely, God wouldn't have wanted the human race to die out after creating two people.

I think the snake represents the penis to be honest!!! When he told Adam and Eve to have the forbidden fruit, he was standing tall, When they had had the fruit, he woz made to be limp and low. This would only work in conjunction with JPM's theory though.

I think that the fruit was, in fact, a fruit. Adam and Eve were told to be fruitful and multiply, so sex really couldn't have been forbidden, unless there was some other way to reproduce. Anyway, I think that what the Bible tells us happened, just happened. There was a fruit that Adam and Eve weren't supposed to eat, and Satan (the serpent) decieved Eve, and Eve gave the fruit to Adam.

go back and look and they werent the first people on the earth there were other races and to find out if this is true read the begining of the bible. Remember when god tells cain to leave the garden he went to the place of nod and found a wife and they had kids if adam and eve was the only two how did he find a wife and the place of nod wasnt the same kind as him. the friut means of evil and good the tree of knowlege is of the serpent and the tree of life is of god he is our tree of life we choose to pick the good fruit or bad friut thats what it means.
