GOD problem

Obviously, you need to prove to yourself that he is real. And, I dont mean, read the bible because that doesnt prove anything, thats just a book of lessons ect. And, I also dont mean go to church and listen to the priest blather on, that just informs you about what he believes. You need to discover this god of yours yourself. Once you have discovered him, connecting with him shouldnt be a problem, should it? And your hearing this from an Athiest.

one thing that absolutely helps is pray....pray that He will help u grow closer to Him....and dont just pray at bedtime....pray in the morning right when u wake up....pray right before school/work.....pray at lunch.....pray pray pray......even if there isnt anything specific to pray about just pray anyways....praying works miracles i swear on my life....

also u need to talk to someone that u know is a very strong Christian....let them know and they can help u through it and give u pointers and everything....

another thing is listen to only chrisitan music for awhile....i know it sounds silly....but it helps i swear it does.....before i got saved that was what i did....i stopped listening to everything else and listen to ONLY christian music....it helps u feel Gods power and helps u feel what all he can do for u......

i did all of these things before i got saved and they helped me soo much.....

just pray that is the main thing.....

if u would like to talk to me id love to help ya!! can u give me ur email address?? id love to talk to ya!!!

God Bless!!! and i wish u the best of luck with ur future walk with God!!! =)

just remember....ALWAYS walk by faith and not by sight!!! =)

I agree with CB. Prayer is a very important part of your walk with God. Reading the bible is also a very important part, this is a way God uses to speak to you.
When you read God's word it feeds your spirit. Just as your flesh needs to be fed, your spirit needs to be fed as well. I also feel going to church is an important part of feeding your spirit.
Like CB said listening only to christian music will do wonders. I don't know your taste in music, but you may want to give these groups a listen.
    MercyMe...T-Bone...Newsong...
    Michael W.Smith...The Cross Movement...
    Casting Crowns... Audio Adrenaline...
    I hope you like them.
    Take care & God bless!!

    Are you a Christian JPM?

    I'm just curious...

  • Court

yes as JPM and Tammy have said...reading the Bible is very important....and we dont mean read it all in one night or anything like that.....

what i did is i read quite a bit so that i could find Key verses to write down and save and memorize....read however much u can at a time and find those key ones that catch ur eye and really help u and keep them with u too look at, keep them in ur pocket to pull out whenever u need them....

like i have AIM and instead of having Away Messages i have Bible verses to look at and to put up....

ok i dont know if this will help u....but it helps me....i wear a cross at all times...whether is earrings or a ring or a necklace or a Christian shirt i have....i ALWAYS wear a cross.....like sometimes i wear two cross necklaces, cross earrings, and a Christian shirt......it really helps me.....and even if u dont have one....just go buy a simple cross necklace or something. nothing expensive....the necklace i wear the most is a guitar pick with Jesus written on it and a cross, on a chain i made myself. and its the one i love the most.....just something simple to remind me that God is always with me and ALSO, if im ever about to do anything that may not be good, i can reach up and hold onto that necklace and its a reminder that i shouldnt do whatever im about to do.....it may or may not help u but it does help me.....

    God Bless!!!

yes John is wonderful. Also, James is really short but is packed full of wisdom.
    James is my favorite :o)
Or you could study Proverbs...31 chapters....one chapter a night... will take you a month to read it all.
My husband and I do this together every night before bed.

I disagree. You should never be scared of God. God is LOVE!! You should RESPECT God... when the Bible says fear God it doesn't mean be scared of Him, it simply means respect Him & His word. If you do that, you have nothing to fear. Check out how much the Bible says FEAR NOT. God loves you & wants the best for you. There is nothing to be scared of with Him.

i agree Tammy....there is no reason to be scared of God...NO reason at all....i really dont think ur scared...i think its more just being excited...ur about to dedicate ur life to God!!! that is exciting!!!!! trust me i dont think ur scared.

    Genesis 1:27 (King James )

So God created man in HIS own image, in the image of God created HE him; male and female created HE them.

The Bible uses He when speaking of God. Don't look to man for answers...look to the Word of God. HIS Word.

I am not here to argue with anyone...it will get us no where. You are free to believe what you want, as for me, I believe the Bible IS God's word.
I read a post somewhere about how easily we believe what we read in the newspapers & such, but find it so hard to believe the word of God (The Bible)
    Odd isn't it??

    Tammy, I agree.
    Religion arguements go no where.
I respect what you believe, and have read the bible. There is some good reading in that book.

my opinion is that if you have the will to want God in your life that is a step to him but you have to also do it thats what the word Amen means after what you prayed to di for example if u pray to him asking him to help you and come into your heart you have to do what u say and keep that in mind that he is a rewarder of those who seek him he will bless you and answer your prayers to its not bad to ask god for anything he is our father and he wants us to always go to him with our needs he is the only one that can Actually help us always thank Our precious Father and tell him you love him even when times are bad and youll seee he bring you out of anything i know .

Look for the little things in life. The trivial insignificant little bits and bobs that mesh together perfectly to create life and everything around you. You'll soon see the big picture.

i agree with bret...little things, signs even.
