i would choose harry potter cuz they are not so confusing

I'm a child born of D&D, without LotR there would not have been D&D.

Harry Potter is not much more than a mixed bag of old ideas repackaged with broomsticks and fancy faux-latin. A good money spinner and an ok read, but far from a classic.

harry potter....lotr is good, but i can't really get into it, it might be more original and everything....but harry potter gets me hooked and interested a lot easier....

Lord of the Rings for sure. It is so thoroughly written and obviously took a long time writing.

As for Harry Potter, I don't really like it. The first books were ok, but the ones that came after that all seem to have been written hurriedly...
