Why are so many people on this site drowned in self-pity? No offense guys but i'm sure if you went to the third world you'd have a rethink.

third world is places that arent as rich and as lucky as we are. people suffering from homelessness and poverty and starvation

How can anyone not know about the third world?? Surely America comments on other countries once in a while?

There are parts of America that sound very third world.

Yeah those that warrant it and those that don't. I should and do know. Having suffered from depression and visited the third world, one totally eclipses the other. At least depressed and sad people have the option to drag themselves out of their sadness and recover. Those in the third world are left by the rich countries to rot and die.

Shadows (I'm not defending the self-pity) we don't live in third world countries do we? We are a culture driving by perfection, third world countries are nothing like ours. You can't compare the two.

How can we not compare the two? At the end of the day we choose how to live, its not dictated by anyone else(except the corrupt American media) How can a nation striving for perfection be so f**ked up? I agree we can't compare the two, all of our problems are so unbelievably petty in comparison.
