I could say that everyone I love just died in a car accident, and that my life has suddenly turned hopeless alltogether...

I could tell you that I want to die now, as my life has lost it's meaning, and that I have been raped by a monkey..

But I haven't

i agree. i have written a sad poem, and everyone assumed that i was the one it was talking about. now that i think about it, there are as many suicide and death poems on here as ther is love poems. this site should have a different name...lol

well not everything in here you hear is true he is right but i have had friends committ suicide and itr does hurt well i had a friend and its soemthing you dont wanna experience

I have written depressive poetry that was serious, however quite a lot of my writing is either, imagined situations or exagerated feelings. It all depends on my mood of the moment.

And, yes I have written suicidal poems, but I have never actually been suicidal. I have had suicidal thoughts, but I know that if it came to it, I could never do something that would affect everyone I know.

It's all in how you perceive it. Sure, many people exaggerate their feelings and post, saying that they're going to kill themselves... But most of the time they are, in fact, merely venting. Most, if not all, of my poems are the product of strong emotions - of course none of them go as far as being suicidal. Morbid, but not a death wish. This site is great for that purpose because it is a poetry site and many find their release in writing, whether for depression, for anger or for joy.

Ive wrote about suicide and cutting before when i dont cut or anything. I get depressed sometimes but i wouldnt kill myself. People have to remember that just cause you wrote it in a poem doesnt mean it has to be true

hey! some people have an addiction to cutting and maybe write suicide poems just to express how they feel... not that they will do it! Or it could be what could happen...

For all of those that think that people who r extremely sad in life r depressed and r suicidal, some of them arn't. Like me, I'm usually happy, but I just feel terrible inside...all alone...(sighs). There was a poem that I did do called, "decision." I did this when I wanted to kill myself because no one knows what I'm going through or I feel extremely alone. However, I am NOT an attention grabber. I'm just expressing myself...( hope I didn't say anything wrong)...

Most worrying I feel, isn't the amount that have taken their lifes, but the amount of people that consider it.

I've been so caught up in feeling bad for myself a few years that I never opened my eyes to see how bad other people feel. This site has helped me open my eyes a little.

well...death is really commen...so i dont think its really our place to be saying "SHES JUST WRITEING ABOUT DEATH FOR ATTENTION" its rude and assumptions are never good...

i had a lot of depressed friends and they all kinda went through a fase where it was cool to cut, i kept out of it and now they are all fine. i do feel for people who are really depressed. but people can write poems on here about wat they see around them and wateva, doesnt mean they are writing about themselves.

some people do but yet somepeople its real ok i lost my fater ok and my mom she is on drugs and i live with my grandparent yes i am happy now but some people dont do it for attion and if you think they do u really need to get over your self
