Hey...Don't pass this by.

I want to start something. A sure way to get comments and votes.

There are a few catches. If you post here, asking for others to read, make sure you comment on theirs if they comment on yours! However, if they read all 103 of your poems...Well, maybe you won't have to read all of theirs but be polite and don't snub anybody. If you do and I hear about it (which I will because hopefully people will e-mail me) you will get a very long letter of why it's wrong, so on...Plus I will ask everyone to stop commenting on your poems, and not just the people on this thread!

Here's the deal. Post your name and a catchy little paragraph on why your poems are great. For example, give us what kind of poems you write, why your poetry is unique, why you are a great choice for reading, so on. Don't be modest, otherwise you'll probably not get that many hits. However don't brag too badly or you won't get any hits at all...No one likes a jerk.

The idea is that if you're looking for readers, you'll post your stuff as I said before. And other people looking for readers will not only post here but look through the list and find some of your poems, possibly, poems they think they'd like to read. They'd read and comment, and being the gracious person you are you'd return the favor (and not just because you're gracious but because it's the right thing to do and I told you so). It's a "I'll scratch your back, you'll scratch mine" kinda deal.

So start posting, people, and reap the benefits!

    I'll start off.

I write poetry that will strike you as powerful and magical. If not it will at least make you roll your eyes at this post. ;) Try:
*They Say, I Tried (if you know what it's like to be rejected)
*Masquerade (if you know what it's like to be used)
*Something Like Love (if you want to know what it feels like to find your own complexion to pale in comparison to the one you love)
*Reason Unheard (if nobody hears the words you say and you can understand a poem with a deeper concept)
*Smile (if you need a smile, if you're the one with silver or the one with gold, if you're timid or if you're bold...but now I gave the poem away)
