Southren accents??

a friend and i are debating whether an american southren accent is sexy or not. i have one and when i lived in cali, it bit me in the ass cuz no one liked it, but now that im back in the south it's commin out more and we're wondering if thats a good thing. she says accents are sexy and i say that there over rated....guys is my accent a good thing or not???
