I saw it and think it's funnier than the first one. And i think the oompa loompa songs are better, and i hear them about every day at work, i keep getting them stuck in my head.

Yeah it's so much mroe funnier than the first one! I was disappointed that the Oompa Loompas weren't the original colour though. The songs were cool! I loved the dances aswell!

We have Odeon in my city so it's only £3.50 admission. I think there is a UCI aswell, but why pay more?

Johhny Depp sounds like Micheal Jackson in the film!

And compare that clean faced, sleek haired look to the sexy rugged pirate look in Pirates of the Caribbean. Oh he was so fine in that film ..

Yeah I laughed more than the kids in the cinema too! Also it doesn't take much to amuse me either :P Hehehe.

Yeah it would cost about $12 to see a film, maybe more, in the US if it was the price it is here.

I haven't seen it, but I don't think nothing can beat the first, Willy Wonka and hte chocalate facotry. I don't get it tho... The new movie is called Charlie and the Chocalate factory right? Well then why does the movie have the same experiences as the last movie did? Its a remake sort of, but then again its called Charlie and the Chocolate factory..so you would think that it'd be Charlie going through new things with different kids...I don't know...you seen it, explain it to me if you can please!

I finally got round to going to the cinema earlier tonight with my brother as planned. You were right it was worth the £3.50 admission price.

Some of the songs were really corny made us laugh a lot, but guess that's what they are there for. Also some of the comments made by Willy Wonka were funny, straight to the point!

It is sort of a remake, but the plot differs from that of the first movie. This new movie tends to stick more to the origional plot of Roald Dahls book. Without giving too much away I'll just say that some bits are missed out completely and other bits added in at the end.

Personally, I thought Johnny Depp was excellent. I thought the movie was excellent.

But yes, if you see the movie, and realize that certain parts were changed, left out, or added, it's because this version is more true to the book. A lot of what was in the first version didn't even happen in the book.

He's releasing a new film , called The Corpse Bride. It seems kind of similar to A Nightmare Before Christmas, similar characters and stuff, and the Corpse Bride looks very similar to that of Sally.

Yeah he is a genius, as is Danny Elfman, the bloke who writes all the songs for these types fo films. Pure genius.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the new version.
    It was terrible.

You seem to be the only one here that thinks that! And why was it so terrible? Care to enlighten me?

Johnny Depp, what can I say; He's just an overall amazing actor. Each film he is in, he plays his character so well. Yet he is always the werid characters: Edward Sissorhands, Willy Wonka, finding Neverland etc.

I also extreamly enjoy Tim Burtons films, they are so different, yet amazing!

Overall, I think it was $6.50 worth while.
I hope you all enjoy the movie as much as I did!

The movie was to stupid for me, I didn't find the humor funny at all. And Johnny Depp just seemed really fake during the movie. I didn't buy his role one bit.
The first movie is just as bad as this one.
They should stop remaking shitty movies all together.

Johnny Depp normally has such a deep voice, that one he had in the movie scared the hell out of me!!! It was like he had been posessed by a silly voice demon!

    *giggles in childish voice*

I got me one of those!!!
