I'm not sure how many of you heard this or not but in Pennslyvania there was a 15 year old girl. Her dad took her behind a school or store, not sure which one, but there was not one person around he said it was all clear. Well He was teaching her to drive and they said that she slammed the gas pedal thinking it was the break. Here is the thing, she flew through a fence, and flew into an apartment complex and ended up Killing a mother. Could have killed the baby if the mother hadn't of thrown him. Well they want to put the dad in jail for 15 years for manslaughter. Now see this is were I'd like to hear your opinion. Do you agree with the manslaughter. I do and don't. I mean the dad could have grabbed the wheel or yelled break break!! I mean she went through a fenc and through an apartment complex. Thats plenty of time to have grabbed the wheel and tell the daughter to switch her foot over. Then again you'd be in a state of shock and not know what to do...Do you agree or disagree?..Love to hear your feedback!

while the dad could have grabbed the wheel or pulled the handbrake he would have been panicking and yea you don't always think logically when your freaking out.

It is nothing but manslaughter, if that. I'd say there is a good chance it would be classified as an accidental death and nothing more.

In circumastances like that, people are very likely to go into shock and not be able to react in time. While it is conscidered negligent homocide, I do not agree with the prison term. For something such as this automobile accident that killed a mother and [I assume] injured an infant, five years in the State Penitentiary, followed by probabtion and up to 100 hours of community service with possible civil action for damages to the fence and apartment complex.

Wonderful answer Eclipse I couldn't agree more. Yes I did forget to mention that the mothers baby was injured of course. Not sure how, but I'm pretty sure broke something from being thrown.

Thank you. My brother is studying law. I read his textbooks when I'm bored, so I guess I picked up a little. But yeah, that looks like neglegent homocide to me (it's a technical term for manslaughter).

Yay Bob I was looking forward to hearing your comment and I like yours as well. Wow so close huh? That's so terrible, I do believe that prison is now way out of the question now I hear your veiws..and about the girl who was driving....The Media said she was not mentally right any more after knowing she had killed someone, is that true?
