    yeah...

the biggest natural disaster of all time...well...your news-channel is clearly misguided...

it won't sink, that's for sure..it may be flooded...but this is really nothing compared to what happened in Asia last Christmas...

New Orleans won't be lost, as Bob said.

It will merely have moved location, if anything.

Mystic, I'm glad you were unscathed!!
    ----------------------------------------
Katrina, when it blew over southern Florida, was classified only as a "tropical storm" and not a hurricane because its winds were under 73MPH. It still did enough damage in FL to be blamed for the deaths of 8 people. When it moved out of FL, it gathered much more strength over the Gulf of Mexico.

Katrina struck the Gulf Coast 8/29 with sustained winds of 145 MPH, making it a Category 4 Hurricane. The death toll there is now reported at 55 and will undoubtedly rise. The damage to property and consequential damages will place Katrina among the three costliest hurricanes to ever hit the U.S.

Although its strength has diminished, the damage continues to mount as Katrina now moves north northeastward. The storm is predicted to bring severe and possibly catastrophic flooding to the Tennessee Valley and other areas along its path as far north as Canada.

The active hurricane season still has 3 more months remaining.

USA is to blame because you let out an extreme amount of gasses that contribute to global warming, which increases the chance of hurricanes greatly.

Other countries, like all in europe, signed the Kyoto agreement back in the 90`s, which forces them to reduce such gasses...

your selfish government, however refused to sign...

so now, every average American citizen let out 250% more of these gases than an average european...

And allready do we see that the number of strong hurricanes increase...
