Get a giant tub of butter and put a note asking them to Homecoming at the bottom, than hand it to them with a note on top that says "surprise insise"

Bungy-jump off of the top of your school with a long rope . Hold a sign ( as your head bashes the pavement ) saying I think your a knock out " will you go to homecoming with me "

Homecoming is a yearly tradition at high schools and colleges, usually in late September or October in observance of the school’s annual homecoming football game. The game, played on the school's home football field, is usually regarded as one of the biggest football games of the year. The homecoming activities at individual schools vary, but usually consist of a parade featuring the school's marching band, a pep rally, the football game, coronation of a Homecoming Queen and Homecoming King and culminating with a formal or semi formal dance.

At some schools it is a custom to ask a date to homecoming night with in a special way with a whole lot of fanfare.

Put your invitation for the date on a poster. Get a bag of Hershey kisses and glue them to the poster in a pattern that spells out HOMECOMING.

There are two parts of homecoming you could be refering to. The homecoming dance or the homecoming game.
