Do you find it annoing when people wright their poetry in webspeak?
Like: u and you...

Yes. Very annoying. Especially when they spell internet slang wrong (who could've thought internet slang could be spelled wrong?!) and you're trying to figure out what they're really saying..

It hurts my eyes.

Ah!! Webspeak pollutes the purity of language. But some are more able in this style, so I respect them. However, I definitely prefer good poetry written in good English.

I think if people are posting poetry then it should not be in webspeak unless it was posted in the slang section.

I usually won't even read a poem written like that. When I spot the first "u", I click off of it! Which is sad, because I probably miss out on some really awesome poetry....

I think people are just too lazy to write anything out completely. SPELLCHECK! Say it with me... Spell... Check! Not that hard

I agree! Even though it happens a lot, I still don't understand more then half of the stupid internet slang! :: dies from interpreting:: If someone can't spell they shouldn't have to revert and use slang.

heck I can't spell! But I rarely use interent words or slang...or whatever like that!

Yeah, sometimes I do the odd one 'cos I can help it, but I don't do it like:

"omgz lyk reli!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1!!!1!!1!!1!!11one"

Annoys the p*ss outa me.
