Promise

Another year have come and gone,
And you're still standing here today.
Be glad you're not six feet underground,
Because you're doing better than okay.

Please cherish every moment you have,
For every second could be your last.
Look forward to your future,
Never exclude us from your past.

Your emotional pain can never be erased,
But I'm here to scrub my best.
Have the patience to wait with me,
While I clean up your emotional mess.

It's not often you find a friend,
Who could read your mind and soul.
One who could lead and also follow,
The path you chose to go.

I would be here many birthdays later,
And I hope you'll do the same.
For without you in my life,
I would choose myself to blame.

Please don't think I don't love you,
Because I haven't said it enough.
Because I do and always will,
Nothing can lessen this bond so tough.

There's two type of people who loves you,
And I'll name them both to you.
Your friends because they care,
And your family because they always do.

So when you're feeling down and sad,
Read this poem with my voice in mind.
Every word means "I love You."

Learn to see

Sometimes it’s hard to imagine
How hard life can be
On some of those around us

Sometimes we don’t seem to realize
How many friends need our help
Even when they don’t ask for it

Sometimes we see a smile on their faces
And we assume that everything’s fine
When in fact everything is just wrong

We have to learn to see further
To see behind the fake smiles
To see the truth
Even if they don’t want us to see it
Only when we manage to do this
Can we really call our selves
Real and thru friends.

Of all the things that I have done
None of them compare,

My poem is titled" Silence"

Lost in denial of the pain of the past,
and these feelings of you will always last
You’ve broken my heart, and shattered my soul,
the pain that you caused makes me loose my control.

I thought I didn't need to tell you how I felt inside
But you couldn't see the real truth
The real meaning,
Of where our friendship lied.

My heart was open, free to be broken,
I showed you how I felt deep inside.
To just be friends, I wanted a lot more,
My heart was in battlefield,
Taken by war.

I listened to my heart, and not my mind,
I couldn't see the truth, and how much I was blind.
If my heart was a book
Then you’ve skipped to the end
Not reading all the pages
See, I wanted to be more, than just your best friend.

I should have told you my feelings, my thoughts for you.
But now it’s too late, there’s nothing more I can do.
I must leave my compassionate feelings behind
From the beginning, I should’ve listened to my mind.

I loved you with everything, inside of my heart,
My entire universe has fallen apart.
I keep my feelings for you hidden again
Because I’ve lost you to my very best friend.

Spiteful words hurt your feelings, but silence breaks your heart,
Tell someone if you truly love them,
Before you get torn apart.

I can see the red, white and free in you
You light the night up like the moon
And underneath your clouds, I see the blue

You’re hopeless ‘cause you tell the truth
The stars are jealous of your shine

There’s not a thing I wouldn’t do

You’re black and beautiful, yellow, tan
You’re white as light and soft as sand
With greens and grays and oh for days
A silver lining on the way you cover everyone
Just like a morning sun
You turn me into someone I would rather be

Then again I feel so lonely,

Talking and joking with me,

Neither am I the one you love,
But I miss you so much,
For I'm not used of being alone.

You stay with me when I frown,
When it's you the one who has drown,

I can't stand seeing you being a fool,

Is only making her feel nauseous of you.

I never see you like what others see,

But never do get compliments but insults.

I want to be the one,
That you can tell everything,

So that I can tell you what I think.

Nobody understands me,
As well as you does,
You don't have to wait for me to speak,
You always listen from your heart.

I don't know how you did it,
But you can read my mind,
You seem to know the right time,
To joke around or gives me advice.

You had been a great friend,
A big brother as well,
Always there to protect me,
From all those jerks in school.

I know you suffer a great deal,
In school and at home,
I wish I can help you,
Like how you've help me.

The reason I'm able to go through this,
Is all because of a friend like you,
So I hope I can help you too,
To drive away your misery and pain.

I know you can hear what I'm saying,
So promise me you'll continue to live,
Or I won't be happy the way I am now,
And please don't forget that I love you too.

Friends-the things that make life worth living for

Friends
They start off very small
Work up to become something huge
That turns out to help us all

I remember my first friend
In my entire life
Was a girl in preschool
I was new girl for the very first time

I didn't have anyone to play with
Because they wouldn't play with me
I didn't know how to make friends
I thought it wasn't easy

Sure, I was a real fast kid
But so was everyone else there
When it was play time
I didn't know if anyone would care

That I was the only kid on the playground
Without anyone to hang around
That no where had I found
A place to turn frowns upside down

I didn't get a friend that play time.
I didn't think I would
But I was so lonely
I didn't think I should

When we went back inside the classroom
I still remember this day
That all the kids had their own groups
And I was pushed away

I told the teacher later
What the kids had done
She knew how bad it felt
To never have won

She told all the kids to sit down
And said "Who played with Kristi today?"
That was my name...
But I didn't feel brave

Not a single person raised their hand
And I felt reduced angrily
And as tears stung my eyes
I did not feel free

The teacher said
"All of you
Better play with Kristi today
If one of you doesn't
The blue chair do you stay"

Then a girl crossed her arms
And took a glance at me
She shook her head
And raised her hand
Carelessly

I heard her say
"I don't care
Put me in the blue chair"
I felt so upset
So very
And I frowned
I was definitely not merry

But believe it or not
I still remember to this day
That same girl who crossed her arms
Helped me be brave
She was my first best friend
Before school even hit first grade
And I miss her so much
I know she remembers me
In all our escapades

She went to my birthday party
Back when mom really loved me
I got to go to her house
Attend her church parties
It was so fun
I remember playing "duck duck goose"

The first string of friendship
Is something you can never lose

I know she told you it's from a song, but when you do that, you're not suppose to copy it word for word.

So, we could have just went on the internet and find a song then summited it too? If I knew ahead of time, then I would have done the same...
