Detox ... Confuzzled!

    Can any one tell what detox exactly is? ... i've been told that you dfon't eat for about three days and just drink water and its meant to clean out your system ... is this true, if it is isn't it kind of dangerous and can it make you lose weight? pleaaasseeee reply any help would be grateful! x=X=x

    eating nothing for three days and drinking water is fasting...detoxing is more about eating foods that clean out your bowels...like eating apples for 3 days...or something like that.

    And no you won't really lose weight because your body will go into emergency save fat mode to keep you alive.

    better excercise and eat non processed food to lose weight.

    Detox basically means getting the toxins out of your body. There are plenty of ways to do it, some slower than others. Like Kevin said apples can help, so can prunes, and certain teas. Eating healthy and drinking lots of water will help you detox because water does flush your system out. Some things are extremely strong detoxing agents and will give you headaches and make you sweat, but that also depends upon what your body is detoxing.
