I have a sewing machine and can sew fairly well, but I am having trouble actually making things particularly well simply because I dopn't know how to cut things, measuremrnts and techniques etc. Does anybody have any websites that have perhaps instructions on how to make things? Would be greatly appreciated.

Have you done a Google search?

If you have access to usenet, you can go to:

    alt.sewing.

Then you can post your questions there or perhaps just ask the same question you asked here. I'm sure you will get some useful feedback.

BTW, sewing is a excellent activity for stress relief as well as all the other obvious benefits.

Lol Bob, never fails to entertain.

    Sunny:
Thanks a lot! It's a really helpful website!

    Lydia:
Yeah I tried a google search but couldn't find anything that helped. Will try your idea.

    Bob:
Yeah that figures, I shall look for kits!

    Thanks all.

Kim, it is definetely best to buy a pattern. You can get them for around $5, and they have the level of difficulty and different sizes, too. Plus the designs are all unique.
Go to a local craft or fabric shop, you are likely to find patterns there.
