    My essay question is:
Some of the mysteries of the novel and of Stephen's childhood are revealed in this chapter to have mundane, if tragic, explanations. Does this make the final chapter effective or ineffective to this story.

What does mundane mean? And could anyone put the question in simpler terms - im so confused!

Mundane means like ordinary or boring sort of.

It's hard because i have no idea what the book is and i haven't read it probably but im guessing the topic is saying that some of the things that are revealed about his childhood in the last chapter of the novel are boring and unordinary (as in nothing special). Then it's asking you to explain whether the final chapter which reveals so much, be it unordinary is important to the novel. So you have to discuss why or why not it's integral to the story line.

Did i make any sense there? i hope i did. goodluck with writing your essay. xox
