Topics for songs.

heya everyone, im in a PUNK band and i was wondering you you could give me ideas of topics for the lyrics to a punk song please. thanks a heap.

basically song is poetry just with rythim, beat, tempo and such. use the same insperation for ur songs as you would ur poems (if u have any???)

Depends what type of punk your playing
Pop/punk...i think writing about lost loves or a kid you have a crush on in school...things like this work a treat
But if its punk/rock/alterternative ...im in a similar band playing this material or you are writing songs with an emotional context
Then write about
Love
romance
Death
Even just life in general
