Australian race riots

I saw a small piece on our news a few days a ago regarding the race riots in Sydney - since then: nothing.

Can anyone expand on it or has anyone any views on what's happening out there>

I am not sure how reliable msn.com is, but their article said that it started when a couple of supposed middle east decent youths started pushing around a lifeguard and not respecting him. In response a bunch of white youths got together and went after the middle eastern youths. After that 5000 white youths rioted against people from middle eastern decent violently. They coordinated their plans through cell phone text messaging. In response to the rioting against them, the middle eastern decent australians rioted the following day against the whites australians who rioted against them the previous day. Both riots were violent and supposedly police have intercepted cell phones with text messages that said the riots would continue this weekend. Each party said they would show th eother rioters that they will not back down and will be out in number and violence. I think it is entirely fucking stupid.

Mmmm, that's interesting. The thing is about Oz is that they're very selective about who comes and goes in their country. I guess the threat or terrorism is also in the back of their minds and so there's a chance they're being patriotic, of sorts.
