To Wear Or Not To Wear Fur

Okay, this is another topic...

I make one rule: One person cannot answer another, considering what happened to my other topic, I have decided it is better this way.

Just say yes or no, or something similar.

Hmmm I wouldn't wear fur but I supose thats because I watched these nashty fur farming videos on PETA.. gosh there bad.

but even without them I still wouldnt...

This one should be much more peaceful than the other topic. Seeing as fur is compleatly and utterly unnecisarry....duh don't wear it. Plus theres always the possibility you are wearing a cat or dog (not putting one species above another- but it's true). Anyone who wears fur is just an idiot, there is no other way around it.

well although fur is just plain ugly in my opinion, i dont agree with saying "you killed an animal just to wear it so its wrong" because we kill animals everyday! WE kill bugs annd they're just as much alive as antelope, we tear down kilometres of forest and whilst doing so killing hundreds of animals that need those ecosytems so survive. These animals were literally born to die (as we are) whether you like it or not and most are actually bread to die. Its jst as bad as the meat you eat, the wood the covers your floors or tables or beds, the land that as cleared for the cotton that a lot of clothes that you have in your wardrobe were made out of. Face it, this is humanity and as "morally wrong" as you think it is, look at your lifestyle first.

children are being abused everyday too, it doesn't matter how often something wrong is done...it's still wrong.

We were not born to die, Humans get to enjoy making (or not) something of their life, we can form relationships and get to go wherever we please. Animals in fur farms are trapped in cages all their lives and enjoy none of these things; they are born to die.

No it's not. cotton and wood creatures can not feel emotions or pain. Yes animals are killed in the process of getting those resources, but their death cannot be compared with the death of animals on fur farms. And just because you cannot avoid all deaths doesn't mean you shouldn't do everything you can to avoid it. Is it the same thing when a driver kills a person, simply because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time vs. A driver who swerves to hit someone? If you wear fur you are indeed swerving.

I haven't read the other posts but I would like to reply. I say no...and my reason being is I don't think it's right to kill animals simply for fur or the skin. Enough animals are raised and killed just to control the food chain why should we kill more to wear as a status of living...because that is all it is. I think if the animals used for food were used for fur as well then people would be a little more understanding but people kill these animals just for the fur and skin and in my eyes that's just terrible as many animals killed for fur and skin aren't part of our food chain.

Don't wear furs because an animal had to be killed in order for it to be here. I think thats just wrong.

As a vegetarian I would think that I was contradicting myself on some level to wear a fur coat, leather uppers in trainers or any animal product where the animal had to be killed first.

However..........

Animals are always going to be killed for food, so the least we can do for these animals is to use the whole animal for fur etc rather than just disposing of it.
