If you try to get earings made of surgical steel or Sterling Silver they tend not to cause allergies. I don't wear earings myself, or have an allergy, but I make jewellery and I tend to use silver so people with nickel allegies can wear them.
I heard a woman say that she coated the clasps on her necklaces in clear nailvarnish to stop her being allergic, but I don't know if it would work or not.
    Hope that helped a little

Hum, so far I'm not allergic, but a lot of people in my family are.
You could try tight-fitting pants instead of belts and plastic or wooden buttons and buckles.

It would probably be better if you invested in, like, three pieces of really nice silver, gold, brass or copper jewelry, instead of a lot of cheap nickel.

That's what I do, but if I develop an allergy later on, like my sister, then I'll have to begin to be very careful.

I have that problem with gold.
Any gold jewelry I wear turns my skin green. I tried coating them with clear nail polish & it worked for me.
I don't know if it will work for you or not...give it a try.
    Take care

    i'm allergic too.

for earings they sell these plastic covers, they are like slip covers for teh post. they are kind of hard to find, but great for earings. if u go to teh icing, or claire's, they should have tehm.

for buttons on clothes and such
you can paint the back of the buttons, the buttons that touch you, wiht clear finger nail polish, you could also try that to the post of an earing. just put a coat arond the post, and on the bck of the buttons, it'll work

also with necklaces, like instead of getting a metal chain, have u seen teh cloth necklaces? those look really good, and they work well.
