Torino 2006

Anyone else going to watch the Olympics this year? I personally don't like sports like football or baseball because we seriously overpay them for playing just a game; but the Olympics are different to me. It makes me feel more patriotic and plus, it's all about global unity. Right? Does anyone else feel like this?

Sorry this is sort of rambling.

My spirit broke when the government told the USA team to wave the flag just a little after the 9/11 attack.

I can`t wait, if there is one thing we norwegians are good at, it`s winter-sports. I am all for ski-jumping....everything on ski actually

I couldn't stay home to watch but I taped it! I'm gonna watch it either today or tomorrow!

I watched the skiing/pair skating/ speed skating events last night. I'm really like amazed at the things these people can do. Half the things the skaters do on the ice I wouldn't be able to do on the ground! And the skiing is amazing too. They make it look so easy.

I watched the pairs ice skating, and that trick the first U.S. team did was so cool! The guy lifted the girl up and practically flung her into the air, and she did a (double/triple?) spin and landed it. I can't even skate backwards, so I was amazed by it.

Yeah, I love all winter sports, but I think that Figure skating is just an art. I could watch it all day...and have at times. Unfortunately I don't have a T.V. so I'll have to get someone to record it or something...
