What happens if...

I was just wondering what would happen if i got taken to the hospital for trying to hurt myself, I don't know what they would do. Does anyone actually know what happens?

What happens if if your under 16, you legally hve to have a parent there and you will have to see a "mental health team" which will tke you into a seperate room, by yourself, they will ask you every possible question about your Self Harm. Then they will make a report, if you have cuts etc on your arm they will draw them on the assesment sheet they did then they will photocopy it, send one to your local doctor, one to your parents and they will keep one for your file...
If they think something is seriously wrong, they will make you an appointment at a local councillor and/or local mental..place whatever they are called...
Its scary..the mental health team has around 5-8 ppl and they all make you show them your..well whatever you did..

hey, I veiwed your profile and it says your 17...if so, you dont ned your parents their or anyone..you can go on your own and request that your parents dont get sent the copy of your evaluation...
so ya, if ur 16+ your on your own and no one needs to know but you..

Oh ok, Thanx. And yeh i am 17, But will they make me stay in the hospital or something? Im wanna go there and get some help but im just scared of what they'll do..

Because your over 16..they cant force you... hey can advise it but depends on the servarity ut na, they wont force you to stay in..your free to go when you want..
