    Ok I need help evalutating this poem, helping to answer these questions:

    WHAT:
    -Is happeningin the poem?

    WHO:
    -Is speaking in the poem?
    -Who is the poem about and/or who appears in the poem?
    -To whom is the poem addressed?

    WHERE:
    -Is the poem being spoken?
    -Do the events in the poem take place?
    -Is the poem being read?

    WHEN:
    -Is the poem being spoken?
    -Are the events in the poem taking place?
    -Is the poem being read

    WHY:
    -Has the poem been written

    The poem is:

    Seen by the waits

    Through snowy woods and shady
    We went to play a tune
    To the lonely manor-lady
    By the light of christmas moon.

    We violed till, upward glancing
    To where a mirror leaned
    It showed her airily dancing
    Deeming her movements screened;

    Dancing alone in her room up there,
    Thin-draped in her robe of night;
    Her postures, glassed in the gloom there,
    Were a strange phantasmal sight

    She had learnt ( we heard when homing)
    That her roving spouse was dead:
    Why had she danced in the gloaming
    We thought, but never said.

    Sorry it's long but any help would be great!

    ok some people went carol singing and they see through some ladys window into her life and they saw her reflection in a mirror and she was dancing. this lady is a widow and they cant understand how she can be happy and act like nothing's wrong with out her husband.
    the poem isn't necesseraly addressed to anyone as like in many of his poems it's storytelling.
    sorry i cant be much help with this one, i missed the lesson we studied this (and i studied hardy a year ago)
