    Hi guys,

At the moment i'm studying for a NVQ in Health and Social Care, as part of my coursework i have to find out what people think about Complimentary therapies. This includes massage, accupuncture, homeopathy, crystal healing, Osteopathy Reflexology... and so on.

So what do you guys think? does it really work? Or is it simply mind over matter?

    Cheers
    Hippie

It makes us relaxed if that's what you are asking. As for it working. It sometimes does.

Check out 'Hyuveda' (might be spelt wrong). India's answer to western medicine. It looks at and takes into account all aspects of your life and lifestyle in determining ilness and the cure.

Example: What we eat; our environment and our routines/relationships will directly effect the health of the body. When it comes to a cure both a resoration of 'balance' is needed as well as Indian herbs/spices etc. There's tons more to it than that, so I should google the name and find out more.

Hi Hippie, carry on with the NVQ, way to go, as for comp' therapies, I'm a Reiki master, crystal healer and also practice shamanic energy work. There is no doubt in my mind that these things work, as to mind over matter, your mind is the most powerful tool you have access to. I also practice NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) and EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique - check the Gary Craig website, worth sigining up for the newsletter), both of these are very powerful, well worth investigating.
    Go well, love and light

Nah, not everyone's a Reiki master... you can apparently become one on the net these days but that's just b******s! Becoming a master involves many years of learning. Good luck with what you decide to go with though...
