My Pretty Lie

I cry myself to sleep at night,
And then say things will be alright.
Tell myself to wipe the tears,
Tell myself to hide the fears.
Smile at those who pass me by,
Never let my feelings reach my eyes.
I'm hurting so very badly inside,
It hurts so bad I always want to cry.
I don't want to worry anyone or let them know,
I don't want my tears hung up in some exhibition show.
I tell them nothings wrong,
When inside my heart still sings its song.

Inside my heart is bleeding and I want to die.
Inside my heart is breaking and I have to try not to cry.
Outside I just smile and tell my pretty lie.

Meh, I made this up on the spot, 'cause I wanted to write a poem about Sohma Momiji from Fruits Basket. If you've read the manga or seen the anime, 'can you tell me how aptly you think it describes him? Or just tell me if you think it's any good.

I've never seen or read the story . . if thats what it is . . .But thats a very impressive poem xD

It's a manga about a girl who finds out about the Sohma family curse - twelve members of the Sohma family are haunted by a zodiac spirit, so they turn into the animal when hugged by someone of the opposite gender, or when their bodies are frail. You'll have to look it up - it's great. Amazingly funny, yet very dark at the same time. And it can be very, very inspiring. ^^'
