science problem

hi im stuck with a science problem for homework
here it is:
jack stretches an elastic band around an empty plastic food box.he pulls on the band and lets it go. it makes a sound.jack takes the elastic band off the box.he replaces it with a longer one.
Q1)what effect does the length of the rubber bandhave on the sound it makes when jake pulls and lets go?

errmmm.. if the band was longer then the vibrasions larger and therefore the sound of a lowed pitch and frequency..... i think... though you may want to see if people agree with me or not before taking my word for it
