World Peace..your thoughts

Hey everyone! Ok so I was recently asked by by a friends dad "what do you think world peace is really all about?" (Britt if you read this it was your dad!)..and I did have to think about it and wasn't sure only being 15 years old how to answer..so I said "actually I have no clue..I wasn't born into a world full of peace and unfortunatly I probably will leave the world not full of peace..I don't even think I'd know what world peace would be"...now seriously my answer shocked myself because for me that was the truth...It sucks because you see all the models saying "it'd be great for world peace" and they win a prize just for their answer..or people who protest the war claiming they want "world peace"...Now that question has really got me thinking and I'd like to know everyones thoughts on it....think hard about this...can we seriously ever come to world peace? Can you support your answer?

I truthful believe world peace will never happen. But it something I am planning to dedicate my life to. You Know, one thing I have trouble understanding is why when we're young, in school, we're taught to sit down and talk about our difference and work them out, but when we're all grown up, we tend to kill one another about our difference. So, that is something that has been confusing me. You'd think if any of the world leaders would mature at all, they'd talk about it instead of blowing each other up. I personal feel people with intensions of blowing up places and fighting should not even be considered to run for leadership.

I am 18, and use to hate talking about this stuff. But you know when that huge Hurricane hit, well, it didn't effect my family at all, being in Ontario and all, but, something inside me snapped. Like, after that, how long did it take for Bush to get his ass out there?!?! Like, really. It doesn't appear to me that he cares about his people, and if It were my opinion, I'd kick him out and put someone in office who reallly cares, and believes that we as people can make the world a better place.

World peace will never happen. Every tiny piece of the earth would have to be piecefull, any small thing could set off a war. Some one will get restless at some point and stire some thing up, just to add a little differance. I don't want to live in a place that's tottally peacefull, or anything that doesn't allow variatoin.... World piece can't happen, if it did people like me would set up a cause simply to brake it.

There is a lot of peace on the world today, the media focus's our attention on all the bad stuff that's all. Of course the bad stuff exists, but so does a lot of good...
Create the world you want to live in, not the one our leaders would have us believe is our option, after all, what the **** do they know? :-)))

World peace can happen. If we keep going at the rate we are going at now, the world's people will kill each other.

THAT will be the day when we truly reach world peace...when everyone's dead.

Exactly... HOPE. I love the poem Bob, it brought tears to my eyes... but there has to be hope always, and we do create our lives. Believe, I am in the midst of s*** at the moment, but if I give up hope... well what else is left other than to take my own life?
I'd rather go with hope, even if it is a dream, I say dream on.

Not as long and the continuous fault worthy humanity reigns this world anyways...
