~Four Elements~
The four elements
We view them all
Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water
You stand on Earth and view the world,
You breathe the Wind for you to live,
You light the Fire to warm you up,
You drink the water to quench your thirst.
Beneath your skin
Beneath your muscle
We are all so very fragile.
Let us view our Earth
Let us hear our Wind
Let is feel our Fire
Let us taste our Water.
Try as you might
We are all the same
We need all these Elements
For us to live.
Let life go on
Let our spirits live for ever.
May the Willow trees move with
The Wind
May the sparks of the Fire float
On the surface of the Water.
May the Grass grow high
May the Wind whisper in our ears,
May the Fire warm our heart
May the Water cool us off.
Although you may not like it
We are connected to it all
The Four Elements
Are forever with us all.

This poem has been interpreted in many different ways but the original idea of it was to show how the elements affect things in nature. youv already commented on this one poonam but i hope you like it!
its called 'the lonely feather'

Discarded and abandoned
The lonely feather
fluttered
In the air
supported
By the wind, it
danced
A pitiful, solitary pirouette

Neglected and deserted
The lonely feather
landed
In the water
carried
By the current, it
pierced
The smooth surface of the stream

Tousled and torn
The lonely feather
settled
On the ground
adopted
By the earth, it
sang
A mournful melody

A careless breeze
The lonely feather
cast
Into the fire
burning
In the blazing flames, it
cried
Tears of sorrow and regret

The despairing ashes of
The lonely feather
scattered
Into the skies

oh cmon people...

heres one about fire.

Sun yellow, bright red
the colour of her clothes
flickering from tree to tree
and burning as she goes

devouring all in her path
as she races and leaps so high
leaving behind blue-grey wreaths
to float and caress the sky

free as the sky born birds
her temper quick to flare
devastating as she spreads
blinding with her glare

tamed to light and warm and cook
to clear, to light a pyre
but wild to the core is she
the raging spirit fire.

The four elements

The fire works as a warming place,
It lights up your soul and face.
Yet it burnes down houses and malls,
No more roof, no more walls.

The water is cold on a hot summer day,
What do you want? Water you say.
Yet it kills millions, with its great force of strenght,
think how many people could have lived their life in length.

The air is one thing we can't live without,
It always hears you when you want to shout.
Yet it's great winds and awful storms,
Makes houses look horrible in all sort of forms.

The earth is the one thing our feet stand on,
It is always there, it will never be gone.
Yet its darkness and its horror, and terrifying rocks,
Its strengt and power will knock off your socks.

So they all have their ups and downs,
But think fast, think quick,
if you could only have one,
who would you pick?

Water Poem

Running the the precious earth,
noone really sees what you're worth.

You provide sustenance, for all mankind,
short,black, deaf, or blind.

Swirling around, your depths, such a mystery,
I lie afloat, you gently lift me.

Falling down a rocky path,
on mother nature, you take your wrath.

Destroying ships, lives taken,
And yet you are always there, unshaken?

Working with all of creation, it's true
We wouldn't be here, if it weren't for you!

come on people, I want to know who wins!

Its not that hard of a topic people, I mean we do use these elements like everyday

Four elements..

As the meandering stream
Runs by
All that is heard
Is the sound of running water
It swooshes and glides
It splashes and sparkles
And then continues on its way..

The powerful fire
Makes everyone fear it
It slashes and explodes
The colors so bright
They temporarily blind you
It rips and destroys
Everything in its way
And then it finally dies down
And leaves all its waste
Behind..

As you step over beautiful flowers
Gaze up at giant trees
Lay in the gorgeous grass
Think about
Why they are all there..
Because of our precious earth
We have all of nature
It was all created because
Of our earth..

The air swirls,
Blows and calls
The air has many emotions
It flutters around everything
Blowing when angry
Silent when sad
Breezy when happy
It never stays in one spot
The air is always moving
It is never still..

The fire that she danced about
suffused the air
with the thick, enduring scent
of burning wood;
that decadent fragrance.

her hips switched and shifted -
just like an ocean’s tide
waving up and down her figure.
her movements matched perfectly
the deep-toned rhythm
of the bass-drums surrounding.

above her head,
her hands swayed gracefully,
almost as if they commanded
this fire-lit symphony
with their own free will
in a seductively
fluid series of motions.

adorning her neck
was a milky white snake
and its ever-curious tongue;
coiled in perfect contrast
with the deep hues
of golden bronze
that outlined her shining figure.

her heavenly gaze
held just as much energy
and life
as nature aflame -
regrettably,
i never had the pleasure
of meeting those
shimmering blue pearls of her eyes
before thunder struck its own
mighty drum,
shaking the very fabric of nature.

the clouds of jealousy
rained down upon the clearing
and each spiteful drop
stung upon impact.

as a chilling breeze
swept me up and set me on my way,
the last thing i saw
before darkness enveloped
and drums ceased to beat
was the woman of the clearing
dancing steadily to her own heart
while lost in shadows
of the dying embers.

well i actually have a lot of homework to do. so i end it tommorrow so i can judge it.

i lied and made some time. k, well i must say this was a hard one to judge, and im not just saying that to make you all feel better. it really was. all of them were fantastic. BUUUTTT the winners are
