No it's fine for you to go out with her, but as soon as you touch her in any sexual way then it becomes illegal. I suggest getting a girlfriend the same age as you if you want to have a sexual relationship.

And it concerns me why you would put "rape laws" ... Unless you make her have sex with you or similar, or are planning to then you wouldn't need to put rape.

ACTUALLY, if you have not engaged in any sexual acts, you CANNOT be charged. IF her parents wanted to, they could request that you not see her, and if you did anyways, a restraining order could be put in effect.

and as for the sex part, some people here are mistaken, the age laws are different for each state.. heres a page with the age of concent for each state.

my ex-best friend was 14 and started to hang out/like and 18 year old...
all they did was hang out, make out, hold hands, but never really went out (shes a slut) and her parents told her to atop hanging out with him, but she didnt, so they filed charges against him....
they didnt have sex either, jsut chilled...
if i were u, i would either talk to the parents, or try to find someone your own age..

    hope u figure it out

!Britt! ... thats wonderfull, but not everyone here lives in oregon lol... so you shouldnt tell people they cant even hold hands. the likely hood of someone getting charged with rape for holding thier gf's hands is slim to none, and any sensible person would know that.

theres alot of things that are illegal,

did you all know that in most all states oral and anal sex (even between husband and wives) is still illegal technically!!!!

but do you really think they are going to be charged with anything????

    I really think not.

yes sometimes its better to be safe than sorry, but you shouldnt be putting these notions that people cant even hold hands without being charged with rape.

as someone who has been through this type of situation (as the 18 year old with a 15 year old) I think I know a bit of what im talking about... for christs sake, I was charged with assault for slapping someone on the side of thier arm!!!!!!!

and charged with tresspassing for not leaving the someones house whom, once I did leave, they were going to beat my girlfriend, so god forbid i wanna protect her, but whatever, not the point. If they wanted to, (which they almost did) they could have brought charges of rape against me, and my lawyer walked me through all the legalities of it. thankfully the prosecution settled in return that i plea guilty to the assault and tresspassing, they dropped the disorderly conduct (which i got for yelling out someones name ONCE to check to see if they were ok) So you think i dont know how little you can get in trouble for? I really do.

and I wouldnt give someone advice that I thought would get them in any trouble.

and again, ill reiterate the fact that, NOT EVERYONE LIVES IN OREGON!!!! different state laws are different, for all we know, the state he lives in could have the set age of concent for girls at 14, in which case, he couldnt get in trouble even if he DID sleep with her (as long as she did truely want to do it of course)

and yes, as said above, even with parental concent, the state can still charge you!!!!!

of course its worse without it, becuase the parents can bring fourth the charges.

but if somehow someone who dosnt want it going on, even if the parents are ok with it, if they tell the police, it dosnt matter how many people, including her and her parents say it wasnt "rape"
    you can still be charged.!!!!!

the legal system is very complicated with lots of loopholes and technicalities. My advice, if you really want to know, the one, first talk to her parents, and then, look online, and in a local library to see what your local laws are!

If you really love your girlfriend, dont drop her just to make things easier, but the case may be that you two may need to lay low for a while untill she is older.
