Leaving to Iraq soon, about my relationship

My ex and I broke up because I'm going to Iraq - in a matter of speaking. Well she sent me a message with a Dixi Chix song titled "Not ready to make nice". And this is my reply to her. I just wrote this.

It's called "And you think I'm ready to make nice?!"

The military man please. ^-^ Sorry I should have reworded that. My friend told me that it's hard for people to understand what it's like if they are not in the military. I'll never understand completely, I know, but I support him.

You think I'm not in the military? I'm an 11 bravo infantry soldier. Im on CQ duty right now, which means charge of quarters. I'm stationed in Ft. Irwin CA, Fox Troop. I can tell you anything you want. But I don't need to prove anything to you. Look up blackhorse regiment. I am a soldier. God, can't believe I need to try and prove that, especially here. A place where I thought people understood others.

I never said you weren't. I have much respect for people who are.

I just wanted to know if you could read my poem about a friend in the military. Did I do something wrong?
