I agree with you guys..it made me curious too....I just do it because I would like to know what others really think about. Whether they agree with the topic i write or if they dont...You can tell a lot about a person by the kind of comment they leave...Whether they're honest or not or if they really enjoyed your poem and the subject you wrote about..>Good post!!

I agree. I use poetry to get out how im feeling. But at the same time I write for someone else to read, So they can think, Hey I feel like this too, And they'd know they wern't alone.

And I like getting comments mainly so I can get tips on how to improve. Look at the first few poems I did compared to my latest, Big difference in them.

But yesh. I don't really know why I wrote all that. But anywho. Take care =]

I write because it's laways what I loved to do.
I write to try and touch people emotionally.
    I write to improve.
I write to hint at what I'm feeling.
I write to think about things I never really would have. By that I mean for example my friend's in the military and before I met him I never tried to truley understand waht that was like. Now I'm trying to through writing.
And that's why I like comments. I would rather hear how to improve or how it made the reader truley feel then to hear it's great because just hearing, "I like it." doesn't show much except maybe the person never really read or understood it at all.

    I like getting comments,

because they have the power to change my mood.
They can make me laugh, cry, smile and sometimes get mad. Yeah, there are always those kids that just tick you off. But I really like getting feedback, I'd rather call it that than a 'comment'. I would like to know what to improve, or if it's good on it's own.

You do make a good point though.

There are always going to be people who don't like your work, but for every person who doesnt like it, I believe that there are two people who do love it. So never give up writing because someone doesnt like it. Your poetry could change someones life and they way they think...Poetry is truly a way to show someone your thoughts on life. I love it!! You all have very great comments on this topic!
