I ran across a poem a while back called "The Gathering of the Crows" and I was wondering if anybody knew the author to it. I dont have it on record, but I do know the last few lines.

    "5 crows for silver
    6 crows for gold
    7 crows for secrets,
    Never to be told."

Just wondering because thats one of my favorite poems.

Well, I haven't found the original author... evidently the poem was used in a book, "The Crow" which was written by James O'Barr and the book was made into a movie and the poem was also quoted in that. Here is the rest of the poem:

    One crow for sorrow,
    Two crows for joy,
    Three crows for a girl,
    Four for a boy,
    Five crows for silver,
    Six crows for gold,
Seven crows for a secret never to be told.

I'm not too sure, but I just like the ring to it. I would think the more the crows, the higher the value of whats being said? I dunno, that's just my interperatation of it (bet I spelled that wrong)

7 crows equals a murder. You know...like a pack of wolves....a murder of crows. I don't know what the other stuff means though.
