So I had my English AS exam today, and for months my Englishteachers have been saying "No, the exam board states that you are not allowed to take your books in, you have to memorise quotes (from 42 poems) for the exam."
I got into the exam today, halfway into it, I find out you CAN have the books with you, shall I complain when I get back off half term? I could now be downgraded for lack of quotes etc.

YES complain and complain now otherwise it could be too late. You won't loose anything by asking and you can only gain from it. The worst possible situation is that they say there is nothing you can do, no biggy!
    cheers Aaron

I would complain now, but all my English teachers are away, and school has finished for the week so it will be empty. I am planning to as soon as i get back though next Monday, i'm not happy about it at all to be honest!

Ah I got a letter this morning from the headteacher apologising, saying he is going to investiagte the matter, and that the exam board have been informed and will make adjustments in their marking of my exam paper knowing that I did not have the book. Still not happy. I could have done better with the book.

Don't worry too much about it now. Enjoy you're week off.

Then when you get back, regardless of whether they've discussed it with the exam board or not, you complain like you never have before!!

"they sat theirs the other day and were complaing that the All my Sons one was really hard because they were so specific they didn't have enogh quotes."

Yeah I did all my sons. There were two questions:-
"To what extent do you agree with the claim that "Primarily, this play is about the generation gap" and the second was "Remind yourself of the dialogue between pages __ & __. What does this tell you about Chris's character on the whole?" or something like that. I had to do the first, which was the hardest, as I didn't have the book.

And really you get an A if somebody dies?? Wow!
