How can I improve my poetry

Now I written some poems and I thought they were pretty good but I am not getting very good feedback from it. Is there any ways I can improve my writing style?

If they seemed good to you they must be ok.
I know of a few techniques if you would like to hear.
One is that to meditate, sounds corny but works it really clears your head and when you do so picture yourself in an empty room with a door and open it, what do you see when you step outside are there trees? etc etc, or there's another which you gather up all your favourite quotes ones that you make up, from a movie, do you have one some famous person made up whatever then you write them down.
When writing, be sure to space them out because you must tear them into long strips (don't tare the quote up! lol :P) and then when you do that throw them up into the air and let them fall, now whatever way they fall is the order they go in, there you go you have a poem! Fill in words of course if it doesnt make sense...

Then there's dreams! Dreams make excellent story ideas, if you remember them of course and different writing style if your worry your little head over that is to read other people's poems to get an idea of what sort of rhythm they have in their writes, or listen to your music the lyrics and the beat.

sounds like an awesome opportunity to learn something, I think you should be as critical as you can be.

You should try different techniques. Some difficult forms will receive higher feedback simply for the difficulty

Try to write about things personal to you and really make sure you feel what you're writing. Always try to be original with your ideas and subjects of your poems.
(which is kinda hypocritical cos im not usually lol. oops.)
but it's a good thing to do if you're looking to get lots of reviews and such!
