Good to see beckham stuff his critics last night. They all said drop him from captaincy and the team. This guy is one of the best passers of the ball and free kick takers on the planet. He sets a game alive. Power to him.

And unfortunately along with his victory in the paper today, we also have a graphic picture of him vomiting. Nice.

That's what I mean, Kim, they salute him in a backhanded way. That's the British press for ya!

Yeah I guess it is. Although it isn't unusual for us to see the negatives in the papers, and less of the glamour now is it!

Yeah, I forgot - England prefers losers to winners. They spend five years picking you up and five years dropping you from a great height.

Yeah but one goal that's got us through to the Quarter finals. Some players havn't scored at all.

Ronaldinho should be the topic of all soccer convo's, either him or how Ukraine made it to the Round of 8!

excuse me, Beckham has two goals, not one.

Mel, Beckham deserves to be talked about. Even with all his talent and all the hype that goes around him, he can be summed up with one word--a word that may even be more important than talent--clutch. He comes through in big situations. He is clutch.

And, why should ronaldinho be topic of all soccer conversations, or Ukraine, If I recall the World Cup consists of 32 teams that gets whittled away to one. That means there should be at least 32 teams and their players being talked about, not just one team or player.

England are only in the last 8 because a free kick. Our tactics were wrong, we did not create enough chances and Crouch should have started, not Rooney when you only play one up front.

All of us England fans should be thanking Becks for his unique LEFT ANKLE which gives him the curve on the ball, not his right foot. Disagree? Watch how his left foot moves when he takes a free kick or corner.

Hopefully Sven will move back to a 4-4-2 and use a system that more than three players are familiar with.

On the side, Ghana played brilliantly today and they really have aquitted themselves well all tournament. It's a shame that Essien was banned from this game by a silly yellow card.
