Are you sick and tired of bullshit posts wasting your time? So am I.

Comment on one of my poem and I will gladly do the same. No one for six, two for five, or three for triple- that crap is annoying.

One for one- short and simple.

"Are you sick and tired of bullshit posts wasting your time?"

^^ Ok kids, this is what we call, a hypocrite. Say it with me, hyp-o-crite. That is someone who process beliefs they do not follow.

    Next time, just post.

One for One, and people will do it if they feel like.
Whatever people do, shouldn't matter to you.

I've read a few of your poems, and though I disagree with all of them. I had to give you 5s for effort and for stating your opinions and beliefs.

You will one day see the world from a different point of view. Right now you see it from a dark, clouded basement. Your thoughts have not surfaced, when it does. You will see things differently.

I agree with the first comment. The only statement I can make toward that is: I was being sarcastic. It was rude humor directed toward the poets who post in such manners. (I thought it was funny...)

As for the second comment, I do not agree. Although the world does have its beauty, there is much to be seen which is bleak and disturbing. I was once a child with no care of matters other than having fun. I never cared much for the events that took place in this world. Now that I am older, I find it extremely difficult to be in any kind of content state of mind while containing the knowledge that horrible things occur every day. Sure, life is fun, life is enjoyable, life is grand... sometimes. The negatives outweigh the positives in this world, and I think that the quote

    Ignorance is bliss

is superb. Ignorance is the only reason why people claim to be happy. They simply do not know what is happening in other places of the world. If they find out and educate themselves, then they would be less inclined to indulge in useless actions and consume worthless items. More importantly, they would be more inclined to try and make a difference ( assuming the person has a fair judgement of right and wrong and cares about that difference).

And, I should be quick to add, you would find I am a very upbeat person. Get to know me a bit. I am not as negative as I write. I only write the way I do because I feel that certain things should be expressed in a cinical way. I am not depressed, I am not angry or mad, and I am not naive. I know what this world is and I would love to make a change for the better. Now, I have many plans for my life. I am traveling to Puerto Rico in a few months, I am an avid reader, and I love to write. I think the problem is that you take my writing too serious. Of course I do not think the line "Life is not worth living" is true. It is a joke line. What I mean when I write lines like that is this: Life, in all the glory and happiness, dispair and angst, will end eventually... on and on, you have heard this before... It's just a different way of saying that we all die, so live it up. But, I think what I am trying to say differently than others is that we should live it up while trying to better the world we live in. It is too easy to live a life of greed and interest only in one's self, so we should help others as much as possible.

You seem like a very intelligent individual. Yet you have such a difficult time explaining your true feelings in poetry. When someone reads a poem, they understand the reader, and they believe the reader to portrait an image of whatever they write. The few poems I have read from you were bitter and angsty. That is how I judged you, and yes I know you do not like things being judged, but if you were not able to judge, you would not be able to learn. How else would I have figured out you are knowledgeable. Through making a wrong judgement. You also contradict yourself with the following statement.

"(assuming the person has a fair judgement of right and wrong and cares about that difference)."

If people could not judge, they would have a difficult time making decisions. We need our judgement, otherwise we would be more flawed than we already are. You are young and still naive. You have not experience the world.

I agree, there are horrible things in this world, I have written poems against a lot of things. I too try to address problems through poetry, but I enjoy life and I write about how beautiful life is, because it is the only thing we really have. The only thing we really own, is our own life. We do die, we all know that. Even if we changed the world, we would still die.

There are still many things wrong in this world, and no matter how hard we try, there will always be evil, on a large scale. We can try and help, we can try and fix it, but the truth is, it will still be there. The only thing we need to do, is stop it from getting out of hand. We can't change the world, but we can save it.

Darien, I found a quote that best describes how I feel toward the world and its atrocities:

    Denise Levertov:
A poetry articulating the dreads and horrors of our time is necessary in order to make readers understand what is happening, really understand it, not just know about it but feel it: and should be accompanied by a willingness on the part of those who write it to take additional action towards stopping the great miseries which they record.

Stopping Great miseries in an inspirational way, not a forced, hatred way. Maybe you aren't like that, but the way your poems are give me that kind of feeling.

  • Darien

    ^^ Agreed.

Maybe you should approach your topics in a different way. You are not expressing your true feelings, and if you were, then it would be portrait as morbid and cold. Use your true feelings and express yourself when you write. You will find it easier and it will bring out a clearer message.

Religion may cause problems, but WHO is causing the problem all together? We, humans are, unable to control ourselves.

I think that religion is the ultimate ignorance. People take up the notion that there is a god with absolutely NO evidence. Just look at some quotes on atheism. They all say the same thing. There are countless statements that make the best arguement AGAINST religion- that we simply DO NOT KNOW. There is no way anyone in the world can be sure that there is a god when there is zero evidence. When it comes to religion, logic is the enemy. Logically, there is no reason to believe in a god.

    Bertrand Russell:
In conclusion, there is a marvelous anecdote from the occasion of Russell's ninetieth birthday that best serves to summarize his attitude toward God and religion. A London lady sat next to him at this party, and over the soup she suggested to him that he was not only the world's most famous atheist but, by this time, very probably the world's oldest atheist. "What will you do, Bertie, if it turns out you're wrong?" she asked. "I mean, what if -- uh -- when the time comes, you should meet Him? What will you say?" Russell was delighted with the question. His bright, birdlike eyes grew even brighter as he contemplated this possible future dialogue, and then he pointed a finger upward and cried, "Why, I should say, 'God, you gave us insufficient evidence.'"

    Clarence Darrow:
I do not consider it an insult, but rather a compliment to be called an agnostic. I do not pretend to know where many ignorant men are sure -- that is all that agnosticism means.

    Emma Goldman:
The philosophy of Atheism represents a concept of life without any metaphysical Beyond or Divine Regulator. It is the concept of an actual, real world with its liberating, expanding and beautifying possibilities, as against an unreal world, which, with its spirits, oracles, and mean contentment has kept humanity in helpless degradation.

    Francis Bacon:
Atheism leaves a man to sense, to philosophy, to natural piety, to laws, to reputation; all of which may be guides to an outward moral virtue, even if religion vanished; but religious superstition dismounts all these and erects an absolute monarchy in the minds of men.

    Thomas Jefferson:
Question with boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason, than that of blind-folded fear.

    Anais Nin:
When we blindly adopt a religion, a political system, a literary dogma, we become automatons. We cease to grow.

    Elbert Hubbard:
Religions are many and diverse, but reason and goodness are one.

And here is the quote that I find to be most powerful:

    F. Forrester Church
Religion is the human response to being alive and having to die.

I see no problem with trying to force religion out of people when religion is so pointless. Sure, religion provides many with mental stability and love, but that should be stopped. Accepting life and death for what it is is not a difficult task. People need to stop guessing as to why we are here and as to why we will inevitable leave.

Having religion doesn't mean they don't accept life and Death.

Forcing religion out ain't that easy when for generations, families have obeyed "God" and "church" Some people will give their life and kill you to prevent themselves from turning away from their religion.

The ONLY person WHO can Stop religion is the person themselves. I use to be a dedicated Christian until things in my life and myself took a turn. I Realized BY MYSELF that whether there is or isn't a God, I'm taking control of own life and problems whether than sitting around and praying for some miracle.

    Ha ha ha...

You make it seem like I am physically going to force them into submission. That is not the case. I merely tell them to rethink their "logic" and try to reform their thoughts to a more suitable process.

I never thought of it as a physical force.
