Pro-ana

I want to write about the Pro-Ana (Pro-anorexia) communities, and find out information about what it is that drive people to become Anorexic.

I'd also like to explore the different opinions Pro-Ana communities share - and how willing they are to recover.

Obviously, it's no good me writing this without any research, so if you are Pro-Ana, would you be willing to explain why, what it is that drives you to become anorexic, and what you hope to achieve. Even some stats would be great.
Or if you know of any sites or forums I can get information from, that would be appreciated.

Don't worry, I'm not here to criticize you. This is purely about understanding and I need to hear from both sides (Pro and Anti).

I will make something quite clear though. I DO NOT want others coming on here and leaving negative or insulting comments. This is not what this thread is about.

Im sorry Kara but considering the subject at hand is fairly negative I'm gunna have to be too. I refuse to promote or condone this behaviour and to then assist in providing resources and links to such disgusting eating communities to the young and very impressionable on this site. I suggest you do your own research on line in private.

Ok, I get what you're saying, and I certainly don't condone it - I only said that because it's not fair to start arguments about it.

And maybe this isn't the best place to ask, but I've come across four different Pro-Ana's in the past month on this site. I'm hoping for their input.

You do have a point there, I suppose. I'm going have this problem everywhere. Unfortunately, whenever I try to find any communities myself, they always seem to be two or three years old.
Ok. I have a better idea. I'll add it to the original post.
