Can anybody help me..

Well, about a year ago or so, I read a poem about a man & his wifes anniversary. I'm not really sure how to explain it, but he sent flowers to the womans house, but it turned out she had passed away. My explaination really makes no sense to me even, but it's the best I can do. I don't expect much help seeing as how I'm not very good at explaining things. But if anybody knows what I am talking about, I'd appreciate if yuo would tell me the full title of the poem. Thanks.
