one problem. ex bf. stalker

ok heres my problem, my ex boyfriend/fling and i were going out a couple of months and he was 20 and im 17 it was great while it lasted but it just sort of fizzled out and i got a new boyfriend, the thing is today i was watching mtv and the new evanescence video and i got a text saying 'you like the new evanescence video'
im really worried that i might have a stalker!! i dont know whose the number is because the text was sent to my private phone and only my closest friends and my bf + family have the number, i called the number and it was switched off. i rang all my family and friends asking if they knew the number but they didnt. so i decided to have a look and see if anyone was about, i looked out of the front door of the house where i recieved the text and nobody was there so i closed and locked it then i went out the back garden and stood on the patio and my dog ran into the bushes and there was lots of rustling and he stayed in there for a good 5mins whilst i was shouting his name! then there was a really big bang on the wooden fence behind the bushes and trees where my dog was, the dog then came up and we ran inside! i told my mum and she said that it could all have been a coincidence.
and that the bang on the fence would just have been the dog chasing a cat but when he chases a cat he barks and growls and usually catches it but he is all friendlyness with people, also the bang on the fence wasnt a cat it was too loud and the fence is a little unstable and if youve ever jumped over an unstable wooden fence it is a bang and then scratching as if the fences rub together. im really scared and my mum and dad just think it is soomebody playing a prank non me! but none of my friends would do it because they live too far away and are all little innocents lol
and as for my ex boyfriend well we are still on happy terms, we dont speak but we know that there is no regrets, i dont know what to do! i need some advice because the horror of all this is so unsteadying and i really cant cope.

Okay, you need to calm down.
Face him and ask him if he sent you the text. Does he have any reason to stalk you?

no nobody has any reason to stalk me when i think about it im friends with everyone! and me and my ex are still friends so i dont know...

Aside from your ex, is there any guy that from school, or who's you know that likes you. May be someone who your friends know that could have gotten your number? I would try to get information. Ask your ex if he called you as a joke or something. If this keeps happening you need to report it.
