Universities

I know what you are saying and I agree.

I think it is worth going to University, because it gives you that time to be independent, and "find yourself" away form your parents and those normal surroundings. I think that if you didn't go, even if you did end up going and it wasn't worth it, that you'd regret not going because it's one of those things where it's like you're taking another step in life. I think it's worth the education because some things that you learn in university(in and out of the classroom) you probubly won't learn anywhere else.

As for the degree thing, I don't think you're 100% right on that, but you definately hit a good point. I am in the process of looking for a university with courses that I would like to take to be a certain thing. I have an idea of what I want to do, I just don't know what it's called. And the thing is, I don't know if it's Journalism, Archaology, or what, so I'm kind of confused about that. I think that they should give you an idea of what courses you'd like with the job descriptions or whatever, because you don't always know what you need when it comes to that (at least that's what I found) so I'm very confused at the moment about "Higher Education". It's so wierd how you have to do this thing to do the thing that you want. It's your money, I'd say do what you want and specialize in what you want for your life and to fulfill the purpose that God has for you.

I don't think I'm going to go to a University. I know I'm going to go to college but probably just community. University classes are to big and I don't think the teachers have enough time to work with everyone ya know. I'm one of those one on one people. I don't know what I'm going to do at college because I am going to cosmetology school first because thats what I want to do but I do know I'm going to college just to see what its like. but maybe if I do go to a university I would want to go to North Western.

to tel you the truth i was going to the university of fort smith arkansas and it is not the school that you would want to goto bc to me you must have to have friends there beforew you start of you dont make it.. i lasted a total of 3 months and they ran me into the ground. universisties aint what everyone expects them to be and their degrees are meaningless you are just paying them to sit and do nothing and you earn squat..

I'm now in the process of applying to uni, but I'm still not sure if it's definitely what I want to do. I'm not applying through oxbridge so I have a wider choice of degrees which are less traditional. At the moment I want to do human resources and this degree definitely is worthwhile when looking for a job as to be a HR manager you need a certain qualification which you get through the degree. Also, there are many graduate training schemes in place which will ensure that your degree gives you a good head start in your career. It just depends on what you want to do and if you can put up with education for a further 3/4 years.
