Oxford

Maybe someone from the UK can help me out with something here. I'm interested in going to Oxford for the Classical Archaeology and Ancient History BA, but it keeps talking of these "A-level" programs and that I have to submit two writings from my school, but I have no idea what that means! They are refering to former archaelogy schools that I have been to before, I think, but I haven't been to anything like that. Is that just a 'UK' thing or.. what? I live in Canada, so things are quite different but if anybody knows could you please let me know?

    Thank you sooo much!

In england you can leave school at 16 with the standard education (like my own) or stay on for another two years and take higher education.

The first years grant you gsce's which are like a high school diploma, but the A-Levels are what get you into college and university.

If I were you I would send them an e-mail equiring as to what is needed in your case.
