Just need to vent ... help would be appreciated

Hey,
Well i dont really know what im asking for. But i guess venting will help me heaps so ... here goes
Ive known this dude cain for a long time now. About 3 months ago he split with his gf of 2 years. About a month ago he asked me out. Ofcourse i said yes ... i'd been crushing on him for quite awhile lol After only a week he said he couldnt do it and broke up with me. He had a few good reasons. 1. He just needed time ... didnt wanna get hurt. 2. He wants to give up the drugs, do his time in jail and then get a job, and a house. He said he wants to be the boyfriend i deserve, and to him that means buying stuff for me(which means getting a job). i told him that i dont want his money but he wouldnt listen
Its been about 3 weeks. He's still running from the cops, still doing the drugs. I just dont know if i can trust him enough to believe that hes gonna get his act together. Which means i dont know whether to move on or wait for him. My mates arent much help. Most of them dont even know him but have heard heaps of bad stuff about him and they reckon i should just give up on him.
So i guess what im asking is ... do you think i should wait for him?

Hey... i just want you guys to know that we didnt get back together. He took my money, got back with his g/f that cheated on him and pretty much hates me now. Im real guttered but thats life ae =( anyways ... thanks for your help

What do your parents think of this boyfriend figure... Figure that out and you should have your answer as to whether he is worth waiting for or not.

Wat ... dont call me a little kid. IF i go wit 18 year olds i obviously mature. Ok ... i am young and i am stupid but you learn stuff along the way and thats what im doing. Its all part of life and i suppose im just learning sooner than you think is right. But hey, its your opinion.

if you belive your in love with him..then i think its romantic to wait for him.. i hope it all works out
