dying black hair with blonde dye, you tried??

my m8 did this and the result was brown hair, has anyone tried this and what were their results?

I don't have black hair, but I have dark blonde hair and those blonde kits never work on my hair. I have to use the professional stuff. You can buy it at Sally's Beauty Supply or some version of it at any beauty supply store.
The kind I use is called kaleidescope and it's in powder form. To go blonde your supposed to buy the purplish blue powder. Then you just read the back of it and it will tell you what to mix it with (I can't remember what it's called right now).
Then you just mix the amount you want, put it on your dry hair, cover it in saran wrap, blow dry it for like 10 minutes, rinse it out, and BAM....blonde hair.
It's quite simple really.

if you want blondish hair... why don't you just bleach it?

My sisters a hairdresser, and she's told me that if you have black hair, dying it blonde will just ruin your hair, it will turn orange. It's better if you dye it a brown and gradually go lighter. :]

My older sister used to dye her hair so much the principal of the school tried to stop people from dying their hair because he kept thinking there was new kids in the school that he didn't know. In the end my sister's hair turned green and I thought it was pretty. does anyone else think green hair is pretty on a girl?

LMAO I agree with Taylor any dramatic colour change should be done professionally especially involving bleach - see a hairdresser even better a colour technician :o) PLEASE LMAO
