What are your opinions on smoking marijuana? Who's for it, who's completely against it...What do you guys think about it?

Meh I'm neither for nor against, I can't be I used to smoke quite heavily and now probably once every 6months when I can escape with the girls I might smoke a joint and chill out. I mean as long as its not hurting anyone else and its in moderation I don't have a problem with using myself. I do NOT however condone drug use...nor do I think everyone should enjoy it. Thats my thoughts...

Personally I don't agree with the use of marijuana unless it is needed for medical use, for example glaucoma.

It is important to note that the Marihuana Medical Access Regulations deal exclusively with the medical use of marihuana. They do not address the issue of legalizing marihuana for general consumption.

The Institute of Medicine's 1999 report on medical marijuana examined the question whether the medical use of marijuana would lead to an increase of marijuana use in the general population and concluded that, "At this point there are no convincing data to support this concern. The existing data are consistent with the idea that this would not be a problem if the medical use of marijuana were as closely regulated as other medications with abuse potential." The report also noted that, "this question is beyond the issues normally considered for medical uses of drugs, and should not be a factor in evaluating the therapeutic potential of marijuana or cannabinoids."

i use it when i'm stressed out need to relax, not too often, i'll smoke it as a social thing too but not enough to be ripped outta my tree. marijuana is better for you than fags are, it's scientifically impossible to overdose on marijuana, yet it's illegal and ciggarettes (which do kill) are sold in corner stores.

I'm also for marijuana.. I do not smoke it very often these days and agree with TPAM.. it is better for you than cigarettes, and better for you than alcohol too.. I have never come across an agressive marijuana smoker when they have been smoking, but always come across agressive drunk people.. however I wouldn't advise anybody to start smoking it.. or start smoking anything come to think of it.. but yeah personally for me, I'm for it in moderation

^^^^^Okay, no one here is saying "it's cool" Open up your ignornant mind...We're not little kids to smoke it so we can "be cool" We smoke occasionally, which is better than smoking cigarettes or drinking alcohol, but no one here is advising or encouraging anyone to smoke anything!

Its definetly not cool and I dont condone drug abuse thats for sure but Brian has some valid points and marjiuana is beneficial in some medical circumstances.

However abusing anything is not cool...

I totally disagree with the use of any non-medicinal drug, so if it's for medicine okay, but if its for those who wanna get "high" or whatever stop killing yourselves too many die, do something better with your money and life

To all those people who don't smoke marijuana...How many of you drink? How many of you smoke cigarettes?

Just because something is legal...does not mean it's good for you...If anything...alcohol and cigarettes should be ILLEGAL...and marijuana should be LEGAL...If it's for health reasons....

Marijuana, if known how to be used...can be a beautiful thing...

I don't smoke marijuana and nor do I want to. I have tried cigerettes before, but not a huge fan, I might have one when I am gathered with friends at a campfire or something, but that is like every 2 years. I drink here and there, but not a lot.

i don't smoke it myself but i'venothing against it as long as people don't abuse it... it's no worse thn drinking heavily

drugs is drugs....do it or don't...everyone feels differently...i basically don't care unless u blow smoke in my face...lol

~FRIENDS--- don't start a bad habit. I realize that you're going to throw at me things like "its impossible to get addicted to marijuana" and "its better for you than cigarrettes", but you enjoy the high you get, and then the effect starts to fade..and you want something better--something more powerful. Don't be ignorant. How many drug users started out with the hard stuff?? Answer: NONE of them!! They all start out with the simple stuff..and search for a better high. although I agree with the ' FRIENDS--- don't start a bad habit'..I disagree with You want something better.. not everybody does.. the first drug I ever tried was crack.. stupid? absolutely.. last long? no cos I came to my senses.. Is it the same with everyone? nope, I know people that started on the soft stuff and died on the hard stuff..will I ever go to anything stronger than marijuana now? no absolutely not.. a lot of my friends smoke marijuana and that is all they have and will ever try, most of the people I know who have moved on to the class A drugs were very young when they got into stuff and got into the wrong crowd.. although doing any drugs is stupid [and yes I may be stupid to smoke marijuana occassionally] I just wanted You to know that not all people start out on class C.. and not all those that start out on class C move on to class A

hmm kinda know I am gonna get some grief from that last post.. alcofrol kind of brings out the assertive side of me.. If I had been smoking.. I probably wouldn't have replied, because I like a quiet, peaceful life and would probably just wanna go to bed and sleep right now.. although I stick by what I said ^^.. but still advise anybody that doesn't smoke it not to start

I don't take any drugs except for medicinal reasons so I think I have every right to voice my opinion that it isn't right to take it... this is to Bitt3rSw33t or watever your name is :P

how can u not love sweeet ole mary jane, she makes me smile and makes cheeseburgers a million times better.

on a realistic note. i would never become a pot head but once a month or every couple months i seriously doubt will haunt u as long as u are responsible. dont do what i did and drove after smoking 7 bowls of creeper. needless to say it crept on me and il was freakin gout cause there were cops everywhere.

Human beings have been consuming drugs for thousands of years. There is no right or wrong there just is... what is one persons' poison is anothers' life line.
To qoute Bill Hicks... 'if you're down on drugs go and burn your f****** record collection!' There are very few pieces of music in the modern world written without the influence of one drug or another, and I speak as a musician of some thirty years standing...
Who will cast the first stone? Cease from judging others and take care of yourself first and foremost...
It's also a recognised fact that there is more of a problem with crime created through the use and abuse of alcohol than pretty much any other drug known to man...
If you're going to take drugs then learn to USE them and not ABUSE them, that's the way forward. No government will ever win the so called war on drugs... EVER!
