I am 18 years old but my bf is 16 but in the same grade as me. Is that bad? Everyone keeps telling me I am going to get locked up for being with him even if I don't have sex or anything with him. They say I am going to influence him? huh. Whats your opinion on this?

it happens the other way a lot, where the guy is 18 and the girl 16. as long as you are both on the same maturity level, i don't see a problem with only 2 years apart. you would be able to get in trouble if it was a sexual relationship, however.

At 16 isn't it aloud though?! I'm pretty sure.

if u were both under 18 then it would be fine but since your 18 u cant have sex until he turns 18 but anything else u do without any trouble at all and for a relationship 2 years isnt that big of a difference you're fine

So it's either you failed or he's just super smart, I'm assuming. Your friends have no clue what they are saying. It isn't illegal, because he isn't considered a minor. Take it from someone who is studying law at University. It would be illegal if he were 14 or younger.

My friend was dating a younger guy.. everyone wasn't ok with it though. But it wasn't the age it was just that he was really immature and treated her like crapp. I'm not saying that's gonna happen to you, I was just sayin. I wish you luck and many blessings for the future :)
