my best friend does drugs how do i get him to stop?

my best friend does drugs i dont understand why he does. hes done so many and im afraid hes gonna OD. i love him so much how do i get him to stop please help im at a loss.to top it all of hes suiciedell please im so lost help me hes all iv got and im all hes got.

It's no use asking or telling him or her to stop, you have to think about why they do what they do. And in fairness we all do drugs, some are ok, some are bad and some are actually quite good for you, eg herbal drugs.

Anyhoo, you can't take something away from someone, with their co-operation unless you have something else to replace it with. For example, I knew a guy who was doing great work in London getting Herion addicts to smoke lots of Marajuana instead, subsitute something really bad for something ok.

I have no idea what your friend might exchange for his drug habit...but have a think about it..

I think you should perhaps talk to his parents...first step anyways if he wont listen I think thats a good start...
