Quitting Smoking

Okay i have been smoking for eight years, i have tried countless times to stop. I've tried slowly cutting down, stopping all at once, having a lolly instead when i crave a cigerrate, nicorette chewing gum, normal chewing gum and herbal cigerrates.
The longest i lasted was a month but that was a good few years ago, now the most i can seem to manage without completely falling apart is two days.
Does anyone have any ideas or tips to make it easier so i have a better chance at succeding?
    Thanks guys.

im going through the same exact thing you are and i would like to know the answer to that question also. i notice that when i stay busy doing something, i tend to want less cigs...i guess cause i have something else to do so my mind is elsewhere.....but if im just sitting around...i smoke em up. so if you hear of any good ideas...let me know too :) and good luck to you

My fiance is quitting right now. Althought he's been quitting for about 3 months now.
What you need is a goal
I've told him if he has another cigerette, i'm not seeing him for two weeks.
He hasn't touched one all day! w00t!
Get yourself a bribe or a goal! lol
    Good luck!

I started taking an antidepressant to help me quit. It is called wellbutrin and it seems to be working!

I have been taking it now for about three days and it is doing the trick...

You keep smoking until you feel the effect, or the urge to stop...

I went from 1 1/2 packs a day to 3/4 a pack in day already and still working on it.
