the poem to say thanks for being there

side by side, hand in hand
you are always on demand
as soon as i start to cry
you wipe the tears from my eye

im filled with joy that i need to share
i know that youre always there
your hug is what helps me most
when im sad or when i want to raise a toast

what im trying to say
is that any day
you need to talk
well go for a walk

tell me your happy feeling
or continue your squealing
i am here for you
just as you do
