what does (sp)? mean?? i see it everywhere and i'm clueless...
i'm going crazy over it..anybody know what it means??

I'm pretty sure it's used when someone posting is not certain on how to spell the word right.

Like if they go{I know I spelt it wrong}:

the aligator(sp?) did this . . .

they put the sp? because they aren't sure on the correct spelling
